AET Films is North America's leading developer and only independent global supplier dedicated solely to the manufacturing of oriented polypropylene (OPP) films. These films are rapidly replacing paper, foil, rigid plastics, metal containers and polyester wrappers. AET is headquartered in New Castle, Delaware and operates research pilot facilities in Newport, Delaware and Covington, Virginia. AET Films operates three production facilities located in Terre Haute, Indiana, Covington, Virginia and Varennes, Quebec, Canada. Our Terre Haute facility is the world's largest single site dedicated to the manufacture of OPP films.

Oriented polypropylene (OPP) films have a variety of uses in both packaging and non-food packaging applications.

Company History
AET, Inc. was formed in 1986 with its initial operations in Middletown, Delaware. In 1994, the firm acquired the OPP films business of Hercules, Inc. Five years later, the firm purchased the assets of AEP Borden. Then in 2001, AET purchased the assets of QPF LLC, an OPP films business of Hood Companies. Today, AET is focused on the development, manufacture and marketing of a wide range of OPP films to a worldwide marketplace.

talent. By developing strong customer relationships and by establishing a reputation
for innovative product development, AET has partnered with many Fortune 500
companies.
AET is dedicated to working closely with customers to ensure that they receive the very best product to meet their specific needs. AET holds 50 active patents and approximately 15 trademarks and applications, and over the past three years has invested more than $20 million in research and development.
Manufacturing Facilities

AET's unique manufacturing capabilities allow the company to make film using both the tenter and tubular processes. In the tubular process, or bubble, the film undergoes balanced, biaxial orientation (BOPP), while the tenter process produces an unbalanced, but still biaxially oriented (OPP) film. The tubular process gives us a unique ability to make thin, converter-friendly films in 40 to 50 gauge (10? and 13?) range, which allows for balanced shrink around the package. AET also offers overwrap films produced from the tenter process including shrink and coextruded films.
The company has three production facilities in North America, located in Covington, Virginia, Varennes, Canada and Terre Haute, Indiana.
